Today we are opening the signups for this week’s Dissidia event! Featuring:

  • Dissidia Final Fantasy
  • Dissidia 012 Final Fantasy

002 — Dissidia Final Fantasy tournament (Geared) will take place

on Saturday, February 18th,
at 15:00 GMT

002 — Dissidia 012 Final Fantasy tournament (Official) will take place

on Saturday, February 18th,
at 15:00 PST | 18:00 EST | 23:00 GMT

Sign up using the following form:

    • Name: (the name you are going by in this tournament–it must reflect the name you will use ingame)
    • PSN ID*:
    • Location: (your location and/or timezone)
    • Homepage*: (your website, youtube channel, twitter account, etc.)
    • Tournaments: (game+ruleset you are signing up for)

*–OPTIONAL

North American, European or Asian [English+Chinese] version of Dissidia Final Fantasy and access to any region’s PSN/AHP are required to participate in Dissidia Final Fantasy (Geared) tournament.
North American version of Dissidia 012 Final Fantasy and access to any region’s PSN/AHP are required to participate in Dissidia 012 Final Fantasy (Official) tournament.

Regional restrictions may apply.

Signups will be open until Saturday, February 18th.

Rules and restrictions

    • Dissidia Final Fantasy (Geared)
      – EXP to HP, EXP to BRV and EXP to EX extra abilities are banned
      – Mindbreak, Mindcrush and Smiting Soul basic accessories are banned
      – Phoenix Down, Phoenix Pinion, Valor Incense, Valor Resin, Arcane Incense, Arcane Resin, Destruction Incense, Destruction Resin, Patience Incense, Patience Resin, Life Incense, Life Resin, Mystery Incense and Mystery Resin special accessories are banned
      – Omega versions of stages are banned
      – Judgements are banned
      – EX Guard Counter is banned, and the time window for paused action is 2 seconds (if the attacking character is in stagger or attack recovery animation when EX Mode has been activated for EX Guard properties, players must wait two seconds before proceeding with offensive action)

Note: Due to the complexity of this ruleset, we will consider feedback on these rules. Please bring up anything we might have missed.

    – Omega versions of stages are banned

    The EX Guard Counter clause has been worded the way it has to protect the attackers from badly or otherwise miscellaneously activated EX modes. This way it only affects the times when the attacking character got staggered or is stuck in attack animation.

    Offensive action includes attacking and dashing towards the opponent.

      It’s completely dependent on the number of participants; round-robin is as long as there are 4-7 participants, and double elimination is for 8+ participants.
